Take your first breath-hold into the blue. A two-day beginner freediving course on the Tweed Coast โ theory, pool skills and a real ocean dive, guided by our experienced local instructor.
Freediving is the art of exploring the ocean on a single breath โ calm, quiet and completely present. The Wave 1 โ Beginner Freediving course is your internationally-recognised entry point, teaching the breathwork, technique and safety that let you dive deeper and stay down longer, safely.
By the end of the course you'll be a certified freediver, ready to keep exploring.
A relaxed, structured progression โ from the classroom, to confined water, to your first guided dives in the ocean.
Covering all the ins and outs of freediving โ how your body adapts, breathing and relaxation techniques, safety, and the fundamentals that keep every dive safe.
Get comfortable in the water โ practising finning technique, static and dynamic breath holds, and how to use your freediving gear in a calm, controlled setting.
Head out by boat to put it all together โ working on depth, breath holds, buddying, safety and rescue skills, and your first real ocean freedives alongside your instructor.
Wave 1 builds real, certified skills across theory, pool and depth.
Your course follows the globally-respected Molchanovs education system โ one of the world's leading freediving programs, developed by the record-breaking Molchanov family.
Complete Wave 1 and you'll hold a certification recognised by freediving schools everywhere, and a clear path onward to Advanced (Wave 2) and beyond.
